Scentsy Air fragrance or Air Purifier? They’re not the same thing

Scentsy Air products use Scentsy Pods and fan-powered fragrance to scent your home without wax or a warmer. Different Air products suit different spaces, from smaller portable options through to the Air Quad for a bigger fragrance impact.

The Scentsy Air Purifier does more than fragrance. It uses an H13 HEPA filter that Scentsy says can remove at least 99.95% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, and it can use up to two Scentsy Pods at the same time. It also has Auto, Low and High fan modes, timer settings and an air-quality indicator. Scentsy lists it as ideal for spaces up to about 19 square metres.

I use two Air Purifiers as well as an Air Quad, so if you’re trying to work out whether you mainly want fragrance, filtration, or a bit of both, I can help you compare them without automatically pointing you to the most expensive option.

Is the Scentsy Air Purifier worth the money?

For me, this is one of those products where the answer depends on what you actually want from it.

If you mainly want fragrance, I would not automatically point you to the Air Purifier. A Scentsy Air product may suit you better and cost less.

If you want fragrance plus HEPA H13 filtration in the same unit, that is where the Air Purifier makes more sense.

I use two Air Purifiers in my own home, so for me they have earned their spot. But they are a higher-priced product and I would rather explain the difference properly than tell everyone they need one.

What about filters and warranty?

The Scentsy Air Purifier uses a replaceable HEPA H13 filter, so the filter is something you’ll need to factor into the ongoing cost of owning one.

How often the filter needs attention can depend on use. The Air Purifier also has an indicator light to let you know when the filter needs attention, and replacement filters are available separately.

The Air Purifier is covered by Scentsy’s limited lifetime warranty. If you purchase one through me and something isn’t working as it should, contact me and I can help you work through the warranty process rather than leaving you to figure it out yourself.

I’d rather include things like replacement filters and warranty when we talk about the cost upfront. A higher-priced product should be something you understand before you spend the money.
